 French Immersion
Quick Links

Our students are ambassadors for our schools. Here's what they have to say about French Immersion...

"The learning of a second language is in itself an excellent pursuit, not least because it develops an appreciation of the act of communicating with others, the subtleties that must be expressed in words, the importance of listening." –Dr. Andre Obadia, Simon Fraser University.

Supplementing an immersion program

Extra-curricular use of French is important if students are to expand their vocabulary beyond that involved in academic work.

Activities such as drama, music, sports and excursions can be initiated within the school and may be completed after school hours. These activities provide excellent opportunities for improving fluency and learning everyday, non-academic French.

“Both our children have thrived in the fast-paced, high energy atmosphere of the Immersion program.”  – Parent
“French Immersion has pushed our daughter out of her comfort zone and has facilitated growth. I highly recommend it and consider it a privilege.” – Parent
